Es Portal Hotel Gastronòmic - Es Portal Restaurant

Well worth a visit, very relaxing, fantastic food and wonderful service. After really enjoying or meal previously we have returned 4 years later to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. So glad that we have, everything has been perfect, wonderful friendly staff excellent food and service, outdoor pool for residents only which has been perfect for a relaxing swim and chill time on the sun beds after a full day walking around the hills. Our room El Balcaret is exceptional, fantastic soundproofing so no traffic noise, spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. The hotel is Michelin starred, so expect wonderful meals all day including a fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend well worth a visit to treat yourself.

Rice menu 55 euro Nice starters, rice (palella ) was delicious !! Apple desert amazing and I am not a fan of apple:) Location amazing ! Only issue is service, wrong attitude ,it takes time before they smile and antending time to long. People need to feel welcome if not people will not come back even if the food is good .

Always a pleasure to dine here. Splendid environment, attentive service and very good cuisine. Not cheap but excellent value for money. Impressive wine list if you want to push the boat out.

We enjoyed one of the better tasting menus we had in a while in the area. Food was creative, well prepared, and high quality. Can highly recommend to accompany the tasting menu with the wine pairing, which made the menu complete.

One of the best meals I had during my time in Spain! Be sure to order the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Every dish was perfect and the wine pairings were spot on. I even enjoyed a beetroot dish when I don't normally care for beets and I ate dessert, which I usually skip.

The room was really cosy and characterful with lots of historic and authentic accents..the place has been beautifully renovated and tha staff are delightful. Beds are super comfy with high quality linens. Our room was the smallest in the place and the only suggestion I’d make is that it would help to have a little more storage for clothes and toiletries. The bathroom was very spacious with again quality fixtures and travertine walls and floors. It would have been nice to have access to sun loungers on a terrace, since the pool area was closed until summer. We didn’t manage to eat in the restaurant, but we hope to be back and enjoy what looks like a very classy menu. But really the overall experience was extremely enjoyable.

Blown away by the experience at Es Portal. The value for money is impeccable. The staff is the highest quality, the food delicious and the ambience five star, wouldn’t be surprised if Es Portal works their way up to be a Michelin Star restaurant one day! Thank you for a truly lovey experience!

It’s true… the building and rooms are very good but the service people need to learn more hospitality… the restaurant is very good, too. The building and rooms deserve five stars definitely, the service (depending on the person) 2-4 stars … some of them don’t seem to get the idea… some of them are good at what they do but need some tuitions still… yeah it’s hard to hear but there are good schools for this. The food is good and the “big living rooms” with coffee machine and magazines and couches are nice. Had two magic moments there. The reflection in the window and the moment with the dove. The pool is rather not worth it.
